OLD ORCHARD BEACH 13, TELSTAR/GOULD 11, 8 INNINGS
Reagan Partridge hit a two-run inside-the-park home run in the top of the eighth inning, lifting the fifth-seeded Seagulls (10-7) over the fourth-seeded Rebels (13-4) in a Class C South quarterfinal in Bethel.
Old Orchard Beach overcame a 9-4 deficit by scoring six runs in the sixth, then tied the game in the seventh after Telstar/Gould regained the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Telstar pounded out 19 hits, as eight of the nine starters collected at least two hits, led by Cadie Campbell, Brooklyn Deprey and Kendall Duchart with three each.
Partridge was 3 for 5 with a triple, three RBI and four runs scored. Emilia Michaud also drove in three runs with a single and a double.
The Seagulls next face No. 1 seed Dirigo on Saturday.
