Austin Lancaster tossed three touchdowns for Skowhegan, but his most important play of the game came on defense.

He intercepted a Quinn Ryan pass in the red zone with under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as the River Hawks secured a victory in Farmington.

All three touchdowns passes for Lancaster came in the second quarter as Skowhegan built a 26-14 halftime lead. He threw a 21-yard strike to Wyatt Longyear, Matthew Keister caught a 3-yard pass, and Kayden Pelletier scored from the 4.

Ryan threw two first-quarter touchdowns for the Cougars, finding Roman Galkowski with a 9-yard pass and Cannon Smith with a 13-yard pass.

Keister scored on a jet sweep in the opening quarter for Skowhegan.

Mt. Blue got a 2-yard TD run from Dillon Gray in the fourth.
