Cooper Bucci pitched a shutout and the eighth-seeded Navigators (11-6) scored six runs in the sixth inning to pull away for a Class A South preliminary-round win over the ninth-ranked Scots (9-8) in Falmouth.
Bucci allowed four hits, struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter.
Jacoby Porter and Milo Matson each had three hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Navigators, who advance to face No. 1 Gorham in the quarterfinals on Thursday. Mason Pechinski and Ben Robbins both drove in two runs, and Pechinski hit a triple.
Atticus Dixon had two hits for Bonny Eagle.
