Elsie Cloutier hit a grand slam and Harlee Gasser pitched a complete game as the second-seeded Blue Devils (14-3) beat the seventh-seeded Cougars (8-9) in a Class A North quarterfinal in Lewiston.
The Blue Devils advance to face No. 3 Skowhegan in the regional semifinals on Saturday.
Gasser allowed four hits and one unearned run, with nine strikeouts and two walks. Chloe Croteau and Madeline Andrews each had two hits, and Haydin Hughes and Matison Newton both produced a double.
Leah Michaud and Reagan Quimby each hit a double for Mt. Blue.
