Lucas Davenport connected with Landon Wyman for four touchdown passes in the final eight minutes of the first half, sparking the Eagles (1-1) to a win over the Spartans (0-2) in Windham.

The outburst started when Davenport hit Wyman on a slant pattern over the middle on fourth-and-8 with 7:50 left in the second quarter, tying the game at 7-7.

After a short Sanford punt, Wyman got behind the defense for a 43-yard touchdown.

The same combo struck again for a 35-yard TD on Windham’s next possession, and Davenport’s conversion pass to Tegan Perkins made it 22-7 with 52.3 seconds remaining.

The Eagles then recovered a mishandled kickoff, and Wyman caught a 14-yard touchdown pass with 15.7 seconds left.

Sanford opened the scoring midway through the first quarter on a 14-yard run by Michael Wiley.
