CHEVERUS AT SOUTH PORTLAND

Norah Juers and Maci Rauscher both scored twice, and the Red Riots (2-5-2) survived a furious comeback by the Stags (4-5-1) in South Portland.

South Portland led 3-1 at halftime on the strength and two goals by Juers and one by Sasha Neff, and Rauscher stretched the margin to 5-1 in the second half.

Cheverus answered with three goals in the final 10 minutes before the rally fell short.

Nina Brown led Cheverus with two goals. Maddie Nalls and Taylor Hoglund also scored.
