Deering’s Matilda Freeman scored the equalizer with 8:50 remaining in regulation as the Rams (2-3-1) played to a draw against the Red Riots (0-4-1) in Portland.

South Portland took the lead late in the first half when Lily Gosselin knocked in the rebound of a free kick.

Freeman’s goal was a shot from the right side of the box into the far corner.

Deering keeper Jael Mbadu and South Portland’s Maizie Savage both made five saves.
