The Oxford Hills football team likely secured a home game in next week’s Class A North semifinals by defeating Bangor 34-7 on Friday at Gouin Athletic Complex in Paris.

The Vikings (5-4) and the Rams (5-4) now have identical records, but Oxford Hills should finish with a slight edge in Crabtree points and earn A North’s second seed. That would set up another matchup with Bangor next week in Paris.

The Rams opened the scoring with a 44-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Johnson to Trey Tennett on their first drive of the game.

Oxford Hills evened the score with a 32-yard touchdown run by Cam Roy in the second quarter. Wyatt Grover later recovered a fumble for the Vikings, which led to a 30-yard Dylan Truman TD pass to Jackson Stack on fourth-and-15, giving Oxford Hills a 14-7 lead.

Another fumble recovery, this one by Kirby Vaughn, set up the Vikings’ next score, a 16-yard run by Cam Pulkkinen in the third quarter.

Oxford Hills added two scores in the first minute of the final period. One play after having a touchdown called back due to penalty, Pulkkinen again lined up as the wildcat QB and ran for a 12-yard touchdown with 11:45 to play. Stack intercepted a pass on the first play of Bangor’s next drive and returned it to the Rams’ 28-yard line. That set up a 17-yard touchdown run by Keegan Ridley with 11:16 remaining in the game.

Mason Ridley also had an interception for the Vikings, while Ethan Sproul recovered a fumble for Bangor.
